What is the differences between double PE lamination (Double PE) and gloss paper?
Process
• Double PE paper: It is a process of laminating layers of polyethylene (PE) film onto both sides of a substrate of the paper, through heat and pressure. The PE films are adhered to the substrate to form a composite material.
• Gloss paper: This involves applying a thin layer of coating material, such as paint, varnish, or adhesive, onto the surface of a substrate. The coating material is usually spread evenly using methods like spraying, brushing, or roll coating.
Function
• Double PE paper: It mainly enhances the waterproofness, moisture resistance, and durability of the substrate. It also provides a certain degree of protection against physical damage and chemicals.
Double PE paper can do glossy, matt, UV printing different effects.
• Gloss paper: It can be used to improve the appearance of the substrate by providing a glossy looking.
Application in the Ice cream Area:
• Double PE paper: Due to its good waterproof performance, it is often used for ice cream packaging that needs to be stored in the refrigerator, freezer for long time, and for ice cream transportation and ice cream distribution.
• Gloss paper: It is usually used for dine-in and take away.
